After an incredible Sunday morning that started at 4 AM for me.Which included two services with 42 baptisms, inspiring worship that raised the roof in both venues; completely packed auditoriums and parking lots; a meeting till 2:30 in the LINK with Get to Know Grace people; a trip down to Plymouth to watch Isaiah play baseball; we found ourselves exhausted. yet full of joy. We then hopped on my Harley and spent the night at a Bed and Breakfast in Middlebury, That Pretty Place.
This was a gift from an attendee of Grace. We absolutely loved the place, as it was nestled away in the woods, with a pond, walking trails, and wildlife everywhere.
We relaxed and shared the many praises that God has given us. This morning we were blessed to have breakfast served and we met this couple, Lew and Ingrid. They just got married on Saturday and were celebrating their honeymoon. They both had lost their previous spouses to illness. It was a hoot sitting with newlyweds that God had brought together. They were spunky, full of love for Jesus, and grateful for life.
The thing that blessed my heart was when Ingrid said this, "I am hoping for 3 years of good life together, and if God gives us that it would be a blessing." She also said, "you might as well enjoy life now, because you never know how much time you have together." As we were leaving, Anne and I caught them hugging in the hallway, it was so beautiful and refreshing to see an older couple madly in love with each other and Jesus! Thanks God for giving us a chance to see fresh love!
