Just a few days before Christmas, a devastating fire burned down the home of some precious rescued orphaned kids in Cambodia. When I received the news my heart was broken. These children were like sons and daughters and brothers and sisters to us. For you see, they were children of Asia's Hope a ministry that we have linked arms with to rescue orphaned children in Asia.
So, we decided to collect a love offering at our Christmas Eve Services to build a new home for them. It was just awesome to watch my church give so that these precious kids could once again have a home to live in. In a matter of one night Grace Community gave 35,000.00+ to help make that happen.
Needless to say we were thrilled to help build this home along with others who gave. The photo above shows the progress.
But, I love when the church links arms together and says lets do this together. There is great power in numbers. There is great power in winning as a team. There is great bonding that takes place after a shared experience. I love doing life together. I am proud of our church!
Together is always better!
Out of the ashes came a beautiful story of redemption. It won't be long till some of these little guys will be back in a new home. If anyone needs a place to call home its these guys.
James 1:27 Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
