Proud of this Marine

We live in a world where men and women put themselves in harm's way to protect us. We have many soldiers right now on the front lines, fighting for freedom, fighting against terrorism, or defending a cause. They often go unnoticed, and many of them are brothers and sisters in Christ.

Let me introduce to you, Barney Brown in the photo above. Barney just graduated from basic training in California, and is ready to move on with his orders. But, Barney wanted to be baptized, before he left for his next assignment. He wanted to identify himself as a follower of Christ to us on Sunday. He went public with his faith in baptism. I am proud of this Marine for many reasons, but I salute his faith in Jesus Christ.

I love this photo below as he sits in full uniform following along in his Bible. Please God go before this young Marine and be his shield.

Pray for Barney, when you read this, pray for his protection, pray for strength, and good health. Barney gave new meaning on Sunday to "The Few, The Proud The Marines!"
