Grace is Amazing, it just is! I marvel at the grace my Savior gives me everyday. One of my lifelong mantras has been this; "I would rather err on the side of grace than on the side of law." I have been criticized for taking that stand on many occasions. But here is what I know to be true, we need it! I have no desire to abuse Grace, but I sure want to give it out, our world is longing for it!
This Sunday, we looked at the account of Hosea and Gomer. It is by all means illogical grace. We as followers of Jesus can't put our minds around it. It just doesn't compute, it doesn't make sense, and Hosea took a lot of heat from other followers for doling it out. But that is the nature of Grace, it should come, when we least expect it, or deserve it.
Something broke lose on Sunday, and we opened our front altar for people to just come and bathe in his Grace. There were audible groans and sounds of weeping. It was as if a faucet was turned on.
It was a morning I soon won't forget, as people got a taste of unusual grace. Oh please Jesus help us to be people of Grace!
