Out of Nowhere

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is God's purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

I am in the 5th week of training, for my marathon in May. I love everything about this process. I love setting goals, and them striving to meet them. I love the discipline it takes to to prepare for the big race. I love the feeling after a long run, knowing you are doing something worthwhile.

What I didn't plan for,was the blessing of God along the way. The minutes and hours that you get to bask in his presence, praying, talking, and dreaming with him. I also wasn't prepared for this incredible blessing. You see, I chose this marathon in Cleveland Ohio, out of many that are all over America. That was my plan, and then God took it to another level

You see someone read my blog, and noticed I was running this marathon, and told me these facts. There is a group from a Church in Ohio that is running the very same race, but with a good cause. They are running for Asia's Hope. The very same organization that we have built our Orphanages through. They have royal blue shirts with this logo on it, and have even blocked out rooms, in the Hotel, near the course, at a reduced rate.

Now that is too cool, So as I run, I will be a poster child not only for my family, but for all the orphans yet to be rescued! Thanks God! I will proudly run to give notice, to some child that needs rescued.

It began as a goal to run, with some good reasons, now God has prevailed with a greater purpose. Every once in a while, God blesses the crazy plans that have been birthed out of a desire to stay healthy.
Oh yeah, as sidebar, did you know as I run, I will be looking for a guy, that has a sign that says 4 hour pace. This dude will run the whole race carrying a sign. Now if he can do that for 4 hours, certainly I can do it following him. By the way the shirts are a dri-fit royal blue with an orange logo. I am so pumped, gotta go run!
