Who's afraid of whom?

Who's afraid of whom? This morning a storm came chasing through our neighborhood. Forecasters sent warning signs of severe thunderstorms. After the storm came, I found our scarecrow face down in our garden.

It struck me in a weird way. Is this the posture of a guy who is supposed to be scaring others away? This is supposed to be the posture of every little bird that comes his way. I wonder as birds flew by our garden this morning, if they laughed at him lying face down in the pepper patch?

Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. Greater is He that is in us then he that is in the world! I wanted to scream from the windows, as I saw this little guy. GET UP! Get up and assume the correct posture! Get up and look down your fears, you were created for so much more!

So I will leave with this final thought, "what posture are you taking when a little storm comes passing through?"
