Isaiah and I spent the night in the woods squirrel hunting. This is his first year of hunting with his own gun. It brings back so many memories of my childhood hunting with my step-father. I could see some of the same emotion on his face that I had when I was a kid.
He commented that he felt such incredible peace in the woods last night. He broke in his new 22/ 410 with interchangable barrels.
This weekend is the Indiana Youth Hunt and he gets a chance to bag a deer. I can hardly wait to see him take his first shot. So if you hear some hooting and hollaring when you drive through New Paris this weekend don't be alarmed, it will be a pumped up father and son!
