Back To Back

Fairfield won the Sectional Championship last night. It began with us finishing a game against Bremen that was postponed, because of rain the day before. We were up 6-1 with bases loaded when the rain came.

So, we started from there, and it only lasted one inning as we scored 6 runs right away, and won 12- 1. We then finished things off in the championship game against Laville, by winning 9-1, for our back to back sectional.

These seniors have played together a long time and have given some steady leadership to the team.

The team posed for a shot after the game...

Josh hit a 3 run home run in the first game to put us up 12-1. It was so much fun watching him lace a fast ball, over the left center fence... The team piled up 15 hits in the championship game too. Josh helped by getting three hits in the championship game.

Here is the homerun ball that I chased down . Doug Beck seated beside me has shared a lot of games with me, as his son Josh plays too.
Anne and I took time for a photo with Josh. This is Josh's third sectional championship, as his basketball team were champs too this year. He has been blessed with some super coaches and great teammates.

The team was greeted to a fire department parade, as they entered the school last night.
I still think we can move on, and continue to win. This team is pretty special. Oh yeah, the senior dads are going to get a buzz cut, if they win the regional. So your's truly might be preaching next Sunday, in a neatly cut, crew cut. I really hope we win!
