Fairfield boys baseball team, won their first ever regional baseball championship tonight. We won the first game 7-6 in extra innings and the championship 6-0. It was so much fun watching this team work together.

I have said all year long that this team has the potential to make it to states. And we are now in semi-states. The seniors pictured above have played a lot of games together and it is so much fun seeing them win this championship.

It was a total team effort as there were so many individual plays that allowed us to win. Josh hit another Home run and it came at a timely moment to help the team.

I really hope these guys understand how special this is. I really love this team.

And to top the night off, the senior dads had a made a deal with their sons, if we won regionals we would get a buzz haircut. So here ya go, as yours truly did it too. It feels pretty good and it made for a great memory for the championship.

Only two games left, Semi-State and State. I still think we could be the first state champion team Fairfield has ever had.
