The future of Fairfield High School's Football team! I love the joy on the boy's faces as they wait to get introduced at the High School game.
Not a worry in the world, for this group of boys, including my son Isaiah #12, no creditors knocking on their doors, no mortgages, no investment concerns, no Nipsco bills, no concern for supper. Everything is taken care of regularly for these kids and you can see it. Because they know that mom, dad, or both have it covered! On this night, all they are thinking about is taking the walk in front of the football fans, gathered at the game.
But as they age, more freedom comes and choices began to fill their minds, and the weight of the world hits them. Fear increases with Freedom, as can worry! And they will long for the day when they didn't have a worry in the world.
Why is that phrase dropped when we become adults? I think I know why. We haven't learned to shift our concerns to Jesus who longs to carry it, and can become what our parents were when we were kids. When we let God be our Father-God we return to our youthful days; back to the time when we didn't have a worry in the world. I choose to live that way!
