You heard right

It is always good to keep in mind where your people are at spiritually, emotionally, and physically. This weekend was daylight savings weekend. That meant that our first service felt like 7AM and not 8AM. So the early service group was getting up at 5:30 AM to get ready for the worship service. We knew the possibility existed for them to be tired so we planned into our opening a special gift to the early group. We passed out a dunkin donut to every single person in the service.

It was fun and it gave them the little boost they needed to get started, plus who doesn't enjoy a donut from time to time.

I helped hand out the donuts too and I did not have one refusal. In fact every single person received the donuts with a big smile on their face. Yes we had hundreds of donuts ready for our group and it did help boost physical energy for them as they worshipped and sat through the sermon.

Plus it was just fun to do it and Fun is a God created thing! And a Grace College group that my son was part of, that braved the early service, took a full dozen with them for the ride home!

God was smiling--as were all of us in the 'first service gang'! Thanks for all you do, Jim--and for gathering such a tremendous team! Prayers and hugs...
