why worry

Strangle, choke, distract, divide are words used to describe worry. Why in the world would anyone want those things to be knocking on the door of their hearts regularly?

Seriously would you sign up for that kind of investment if someone wanted you to make an investment in that?

Yet, everyday people feel the need to worry, to take control over something that God has never intended us to carry. You see, worry is us refusing to let go of something, or someone other then God. By worrying we say "GOD I got this one! In doing so we live in bondage because we refuse to let go of that thing and give it over to GOD.
When we worry, we limit how GOD intended to use us. We limit the faith steps we were designed to take and live in a restricted zone. Why in the world would any Christ-follower ever live this way? Jesus came to set us free and for us to live in freedom.

Jesus over and over again in Matthew 6 tells us to not worry. Then he gives us a conditional promise that if we seek him and his righteousness all these things will be given to us. There it is the key to freedom, seek him and his righteousness and get off of the merry-go-round of worry and he will provide for us, but not until we release control over to him and trust him. Besides why in the world would he provide if we don't trust him.

I refuse to live in bondage, How about you?
