You will pay for it later

I knew it was rubbing, but I was having too much fun to stop and do something about it. My feet sent me signals of pain and possible damage, yet the immediate pleasure was too good to stop. The joy of chasing a white ball around the golf course with my boys was worth it.

The warning signs would flare up, but I just adjusted my stride and blocked out the pain and the collateral damage.

I wonder how many times we ignore the warning sings in our lives, for a moment of pleasure, only to wake up the next day, and wish we had taken time to listen. Well, in my case a few purple band aides masked the damage, and long term destruction was superficial. But how many times does the Spirit jab us, poke us, rub us, convict us and say stop now? How often does he say stop now and change your behavior, or you will pay for it, big-time tomorrow?

All of us have scars from the poor choices we made in a moment of weakness. Next time it might be a lot worse than Barney Band Aides! Listen to the warning signs!

So when do we get to go out on the course?
