Reflections from Sunday

Yesterday, I unpacked the lie that Satan has fed us for a very long time, "God would never give us more than we can handle." Wow did it have an impact on our people.

People flooded to the altar and received prayer for stuff that left them feeling overwhelmed. If truth be known, everyone of us has heard the above phrase at some point in our lives.

It was so moving to see people pray for each other, in my mind it was the Church's finest hour! One of our own Gracie's is to begin radiation treatment on a tumor in her brain. Today she received a mask that will cover her face during treatment. Now that could be a little overwhelming. But God promises to deliver us when we cry out for help in his due time!

What are you feeling overwhelmed with today?

2 Corinthians 1:8-9 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 9Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
