Remember the past

I love looking back and remembering the great things that God has done at Grace. This past Sunday we did, just that. We spotlighted the top 9 of 2009. It was so good to see what Jesus did. I was blown away by all the changed lives and how Jesus became fresh and real to so many people.

I was deeply moved as we had people stand up if they were baptized or made a decision to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior. In fact, that was my very favorite moment of the celebration as men and women stood to say, I am still here! Man, my heart was ready to explode as I saw all the stories of people standing.

As a pastor you carry a tremendous amount of weight in your heart for people. You receive inside information about situations that most never hear. So, when I looked out and saw each individual, my heart exploded because of what Jesus has done in their lives.

It's was a banner year for Jesus, but I believe the best is yet to come. How about you? What moment, event , service, do you look back on and praise Jesus for? Write them down and lets celebrate!
