Chemistry

Chemistry is so vitally important for teams. It is often the missing ingredient from an organization going from good to great. It is often overlooked and under-appreciated.

I watched from a distance, my son's baseball team flourish with chemistry. They really liked each other and enjoyed each other's accomplishments. Chemistry was all over this team. This team was loaded with character and competence, yet I still believe that chemistry took them over the top.

I wonder if that is taken into consideration enough when teams are assembled? All that to say this; before you build your team make sure you are willing to ask the hard questions regarding chemistry. Competence and character can surface quickly, but the third quality is just as important. Oh yeah, the above picture shows the chemistry on this group, as they genuinely rooted Josh on after going yard in a game this year.
