Way too many Christians feel the need to continually tell everyone what is wrong with the church today. They somehow feel justified, un-burdened, or whatever it is, to point out almost to nausea ,why the church is feeble and frail and defenseless.
I beg to differ, and yes I am a realist, and I know that the church has it's flaws, but the Bride of Christ is beautiful, powerful, and making a difference in many pockets of the world.
You see, I'm one of those mega church pastors, who gets an arsenal of judgment because of a variety of reasons such as, too big, too little, too much, not enough, or whatever the newest reason there is, as to why we are not effective enough!
Well, here are my thoughts, I love my church, I love the bride of Christ, I love the ways God is changing lives, I love that for some reason way beyond me, that he wants to use me to lead this group.
I refuse to believe that Big Churches, with "big -whatevers", aren't advancing the kingdom for Jesus! Yeah, some might say I'm a little too bias, or whatever word they want to use to put us down. But God is alive and well and lives are changing and people are growing. And I believe our community and the world is being impacted by God's bride here in Goshen!
And without a doubt, we are not perfect, and the senior pastor is a huge sinner, but he is saved by grace and so are his people! The world is starving for some good news, and we have it, Jesus Christ!

The church is, sadly, more known for what we're against rather then what we are for.
