Right now in Nicaragua people are finding their next meal, next item to sell, and their only form of income on this dump. Our teens at Grace Community spent a week in this area and loved on these people. Imagine if this is all you had to look forward to every day.
People actually built homes on the edge of this dump and the smell became a part of their DNA. We took the good news of Jesus and hope to these people. Our teens ran across a family that raised pigs on this dump and seemed filled with joy. You might ask how? Because they knew there would come a day when their fortunes would be reversed in heaven!
Don't hold too tightly to earthly things they are only temporary!
