Don't let it happen

It would take little effort to shut out the atrocities in our world today. It takes seconds to crawl up into our own safety and shut out the wailing in Japan. Yet the Bible gives implicit instructions to pray for our dear brothers and sisters.

You see, while we sit in the comforts of our homes, cheering on our picks in March Madness, many others are collecting everything they own and putting it in a Walmart bag. We can't close our eyes to the needs of our world.
I was deeply moved by this picture as these two men, one young and one old, carry drinking water to some remote temporary shelter. I also love the younger man helping the older man.

Take time today and pray and feel the pain, it will give you a greater appreciation for your life situation and more compassion for our world.

As He approached Jerusalem  and saw the city, he wept over it... Luke 19:41
