A dog and a daughter

We recently became aware of a special need that a local police officer had with his special daughter. She has been stricken with a rare disease that pretty much can disable her. One of the primary ways to help her is for her to have a dog that is trained to protect her.

We made the request known on Sunday and during our three services we had some local law enforcement officers available to man the table. In just one Sunday we collected $2550.00 to help purchase this special dog to keep this young girl alive.

While there are many needs that can overwhelm a person, we have chosen to do for one what we wish we could do for everyone. So while we were ministering to our ladies in a Daughter series, it seemed very appropriate to care for another daughter that needed help.

I love being part of a church that gets an announcement unsolicited ahead of time on a Sunday morning and hits it out of the park with their generosity just a few minutes later!
