On the Eighth Day God Created

On the eighth day God created Florida... He must have because people either go there to die or go there to vacation in the heart of the winter. 

Well maybe he didn't create on the eighth day but I sure am glad he created a warm state like Florida. My family just returned from a fantastic college spring break together. We traveled south to Florida to watch Josh play baseball and to hit the beaches of Florida.

We created some great memories that we will talk about years down the road. Along the way we ran into gators. Plus it seemed appropriate that Isaiah would run into one donning a gator shirt.

We hit the links and enjoyed the courses of Florida. Plus this gives Isaiah a chance to get ready for the spring golf season at Fairfield.

We woke up each morning to this view from our window as we spent quiet time with God.

 We enjoyed the aroma of orange orchards...

 We grabbed a morning with Anne's folks...

We antagonized our Indiana friends with a snow man on the beach of Fort Myers. And everyone seemed to stop and grab a picture of themselves beside it, to do the same with their friends back north.

Isaiah and I spent time crafting sand sculptures on the beach. it is one of our favorite things to do together...

We watched Josh and his team play baseball. I love watching the game of baseball and it reminds me of all the times we played catch together in the back yard over the years.

And best yet, we allowed the sunshine to warm our hearts and souls. Everyone needs a good dose of sunshine during the cabin-fever days of winter... Thanks God for creating sunny states like Florida!
